School of Irish Dance

Class Levels

Tiny Tot 
This 30 min class is designed for 3 1/2  thru 5  year-old students.  We work on skips, hops, points and kicks in preparation for basic jigs.  

Beginner
These classes are for students in their first 1-4 years of Irish dance.  Students learn basic foundations of Irish dance, then progress through soft shoe technique including jigs, reels and slip jigs.  

Advanced Beginner
‚ÄčThis class is for students with 3-6 years of Irish dance experience.  Students continue to soft shoe technique including jigs, reels and slip jigs.  Students also begin learning the foundational skills of hard shoe dancing. 


Intermediate
‚ÄčThis class is for students who have a solid repertoire of soft shoe dance techniques as well as a mastery of hard shoe foundational skills.  In this level students learn more tricks for difficult soft shoe dancing.  They also learn hard shoe techniques of treble reels, treble jigs, hornpipes and sets.


Advanced 
In this level students learn more tricks and challenging technique through all the soft shoe and hard shoe forms of dance.    Students continue to practice their soft shoe and hard shoe repertoire and learn how to modify steps with tricks.
